Installation
Installing your light travertine skirting boards couldn't be simpler: 1. Measure the sections of wall on which the baseboards will be installed. Be sure to identify the inside corners² and outside corners³: outside corners require a specific adjustment in the calculation of baseboard lengths. 2. Cut the baseboards. Use a specific saw to cut your baseboards. To check that your baseboards are cut correctly, do a dry run. To anticipate cuts or other unforeseen circumstances, Ligerio recommends buying 10% more than the initial quantity planned. 3. Install your baseboards. Before gluing your baseboards, check that the bottom of your wall is flat, clean, and dry. Then, apply the adhesive in a zigzag pattern along the entire length of the baseboard. Don't forget the corners! Position the baseboard against the bottom of the wall and hold it in place for a few moments. Finally, clean up any excess adhesive. 4. Once the baseboards are installed, it's time for the finishing touches. Apply the sealant along the entire length of the baseboard, where it meets the flooring and the wall. Apply a thin bead of sealant. If there are any irregularities, add more sealant. We also offer a stone-effect sealant. After installation, travertine skirting boards must be waterproofed with a special travertine sealant. Note that this product should only be applied to a dry and clean surface
