When samples are returned, they’re inspected and, if they pass quality control, recirculated to designers — keeping quality materials in use and reducing waste.
We partner with specialist recycling providers to responsibly process metal, glass and paper. Materials that cannot be recycled are sent only to audited, debris-only landfills.
Not every sample returns to circulation, but its story doesn’t end there. Through our North American University Materials Library initiative, gently used samples reach over 100 design schools, giving students real materials to learn from and design with.
