- INITIAL CARE: Maintaining microcement is similar to maintaining a wooden parquet floor. It's advisable to avoid prolonged flooding and extended contact with moisture. Therefore, avoid placing wet rugs and towels on the floor. Keep the surface free of stones or sand, as these can scratch it. Avoid impacts and friction with hard objects, as well as dragging heavy objects, since these can damage the surface. Take special care when moving any type of furniture. Never drag; always lift and set down carefully. It's advisable to protect any type of leg or support on tables, chairs, shelves, side tables, etc. We recommend using soft rubber protectors. This will ensure the protection of your microcement from unwanted scratches. Avoid using abrasive materials such as brushes or metal sponges at all times. These products damage the microcement surface. CLEANING: For cleaning microcement, we recommend using products specifically designed for this purpose: an eco-friendly household cleaner. This is a highly concentrated product for cleaning microcement. It is diluted in water, like regular detergent, and then the surface is cleaned with a damp mop or cloth. It is very important to wait two weeks after the microcement application before using this product. There is also a professional eco-friendly cleaner specifically designed for cleaning tough and stubborn dirt. Unlike the previous one, this product is not diluted in water; instead, it is sprayed on and left to work for a few moments. Then, remove any excess product with a damp cloth. Another option is to use pH-neutral soaps; never use harsh products. Therefore, avoid products such as chlorine, bleach, ammonia, and soaps or detergents that are not pH neutral. It is very important that the cleaning product does not remain in direct contact with the microcement for extended periods to avoid damaging its protective layer. Likewise, in the event of any liquid spill, such as water, coffee, wine, etc., clean it up immediately. Microcement reaches its desired levels of hardness and chemical resistance one month after the sealant is applied. Therefore, caution should be exercised during the first few weeks, as this is when the microcement is most likely to be damaged. Two days after applying the chosen BetonSeal varnish, you can walk on it with caution. After one week, you can walk on it normally. Do not cover the surfaces for the first two weeks. For example, do not hang pictures or place rugs. Take special care to avoid spilling liquids on the surface. Cleaning the microcement coating is not recommended during the first week. DAILY MAINTENANCE: We recommend regular maintenance of microcement coatings with acrylic waxes to create a protective layer. This product provides lasting hardness and a natural shine, preserving the original appearance of the surface. The frequency of waxing will depend on usage and the characteristics of the area. If using a different type of acrylic wax, we cannot guarantee the same results
