- Porcelain tiles are low-maintenence, moisture-resistant, scratchresistant, and stain-resistant. Completely inhospitable to germs and bacteria, porcelain tile is also among the easiest flooring material to clean and maintain. Sweep or vacuum loose dust and debris from the floor. Mop the floor with a mild cleaning solution (wax, oil-based, and abrasive cleaners are not recommended). Rinse thoroughly with clean, clear water.
