Surfaces are heat resistant but not heat proof. To protect your surface from potential damage caused by sudden or rapid temperature changes, trivets or hot plates are strongly recommended. Never place hot cookware directly onto the material. Do not cut directly on the surface. Use of a cutting board is always preferred to avoid knife marks
Cut and polish with water-cooled power tools. Cutouts and corners shall have 0.375in minimum radius. Polishing should be done in a progressive manner, using only granite and marble diamond polishing pads. Never install mechanical fasteners directly into the material. Through bolting is permitted, however. Exposure limits may be applicable when cutting or grinding product, creating dust, which can contain particles of crystalline silica. Do not breathe dust.
