Manufacturer Notes
This material is highly sensitive to acids. When used as a kitchen countertop, acid etching will be highly visible. Do not use this material if acid etching is a concern. For kitchen countertops we recommend a honed finish. Expect material to patina over time and create a beautiful rustic/antique look. Regarding Fiberglass Mesh Backed Stones for installation in wet areas, consult your fabricator for recommended installation method. Options include, but are not limited to complete removal of fiberglass mesh backing (where applicable) or installing with epoxy setting material. Any decision to install contrary to most current Marble Institute of America Dimension Stone Design Manual practices is solely at buyers discretion and risk. If slab has fiberglass mesh backing, Mapei Kerapoxy 410 recommended. Please see MIA DSDM (Dimension Stone Design Manual) for all installation instructions. Pricing is subject to change, please reach out to your local sales rep for further information

Installation
Dry Layout Recommended. Product must be installed in accordance with current TCNA handbook stone methods. The NSI recommends installing resin-backed stone with epoxy-based setting materials or combination of primer + a high-performance cement mortar. Consult your setting materials manufacturer for specific recommendations. Regarding the installation of fiberglass mesh backed stones, consult with your fabricator/installer for recommended installation method. Options include but are not limited to complete removal of fiberglass mesh backing (where applicable) or installing with epoxy setting material. This material is sensitive to acids including those commonly found in kitchens. Acid etching occurs in many stones but may be less visible on lighter colors and on surfaces with a honed finish. A professionally applied surface treatment like MORE™ AntiEtch™ can prevent acid etching. Resin fill is to be expected and not considered a flaw in this material. Minor vein washout is possible in wet installations. Seal all natural stone prior to grouting
