Layers of paper are saturated with phenolic resins and fused to a decorative metal surfaces made of either Stainless Steel, Aluminum or Copper. They are pressed under high pressure and 300 deg F temperatures. The monomers and polymers react under these conditions thus polymerizing into a thermoset hard resin system

Edges and corners should be routed, sanded or filed smooth and free of chips or nicks. Cut or milled edges should be finished with a fine file or abrasive paper to remove any burrs

Can be sawed, drilled, routed, and fabricated using carbide-tipped cutting tools. Always cut with the decorative surface face up
Suitable Substrates
45# density, industrial grade particleboard or Medium Density Fiberboard (MDF). MDF is recommended for mirror finishes to minimize telegraphing. Do not use drywall (gypsum), plaster, concrete, solid lumber, bending plywood or underlayment. Critical applications requiring a well-balanced panel assembly, such as cabinet doors, should use the same material on both sides to minimize warpage. Less critical assemblies may require only a cabinet liner or phenolic backer.
