Installation
Prior to install, ensure cabinets are leveled. Provide supports every 24in and for overhangs. Shims may be used for assistance. Carbide-tipped saw and router blades should be used for cutting. Use the tool at high speed and feed slowly. Install biscuit slots and biscuits for mitered corners if required. To avoid cracking, radius all corners. Edges should be routered smooth. Postforming is not recommended or approved. Refer to Fabrication Manual for additional information
Recommended Adhesive
Mechanical fasteners are not acceptable. Use a two-part acrylic epoxy adhesive for bonding seams. Devcon Plastic Welder Plexus MA300 or Loctite Epoxy Plastic Bonder work well. 100% silicone sealant is recommended for securing slabs to installation substrates and filling gaps between slabs and terminating substrates. In wet environment applications use mildew-resistant product.
Suitable Substrates
Do not install over a solid substrate. Air movement must be allowed to reach the top and bottom of the slab. Warpage may occur due to changes in temperature and humidity. Where a full substrate is required holes can be cut in the substrate to allow for air movement.
Performance Metrics
