Practical programs that turn commitment into action: Keeping materials in use, equipping firms with sustainability tools and data, and educating the design community.
“As a speaker, I appreciated how intentionally the Design Your Impact CEU series was curated. Material Bank isn’t just hosting content, they’re shaping conversations that matter, and making them widely available in a way that supports ongoing learning across the design community.”
Eric Corey Freed
Principal, Director of Sustainability, CannonDesign
“At HMC, we take a holistic approach to material decisions that balance design performance with the well-being of people and the planet. Material Bank’s intuitive platform and sustainability search tools make it easy to find and request the right materials, allowing my team to focus more time on designing spaces that make a meaningful impact.”
Sergio Lechuga
Director of Interior Design, HMC Architects
Practical CEUs. Executable ideas.
Bringing together leading architects, designers, and innovators to explore real-world strategies shaping the future of the projects. Through practical case studies and expert insight, each Design Your Impact CEU session equips design professionals with the knowledge and tools to translate sustainability goals into measurable performance.
When samples are returned, they're inspected and, if they pass quality control, recirculated to designers — keeping quality materials in use and reducing waste.
We partner with specialized recycling providers to responsibly process metal, glass, and paper. What can't be recycled is sent only to audited, debris-only landfills.
Not every sample returns to circulation, but its story doesn't end there. Through our University Materials Library Program, gently used samples reach over 100 design schools, giving students real materials to learn from and design with.
Expedited access. Track firm progress.
This is a free, exclusive Material Bank program that supports firms on their sustainable design journey.
Firm partners gain access to quarterly company-specific sampling impact metrics - including packages saved, shipping carbon credits, and performance by location - customized search filters, and digital tools to support sustainability education and climate, human, and social impact material specification efforts.
